Yes. River Vista Mountain RV Park, Dillard, GA. Spent a week there last June. Very quiet, clean and good sized sites. We would certainly go again.

Depends on what you want for amenities and wether in the mountains or just anywhere. Many state parks across north georgia Cloudland Canyon, Fort Mountain, and Moccasin Creek Tallulah Gorge and several COE parks along lakes most with full hookups. We go to Blairsville, Mountain Area, once or twice a year and usually stay at Track Rock. Plenty of room for whatever you have. Georgia Mountain Fair is another campground with full hookups in Hiawassee. Cleveland GA campgrounds have been low end for us. too many gold hunters and their trash for us.

I live in franklin nc- just over the ga line. We regularly camp at the Chattooga River resort in long creek sc-about 15 min from clayton ga and literally 5 minutes from the ga line and the chattooga river. The resort owner mike stockton also runs chattooga whitewater outfitters along with humble pie pizza(white pizza with chicken is awesome) and he is a great source of info on area hikes and other activities like rafting/kayaking , where the easily accessible and best sand(yes actual SAND) beaches are along the river and how to get to them(usually a 5 min easy hike) or when to go chattooga belle farms- the local moonshine distillery/ farm to table combination restaurant /farm thats 1.5 mi away(best damn sunset view in the area). This is really one of the most beautiful areas around and we love coming down for a close to home trip in addition to going to events like the long creek music festival or Tallulah fest. Mikes outfitter number is 864-647-9083 and the resort number is 864-873-7310.
We also like the recently re-opened river falls resort right on the tallulah river and right off hwy 441. its a beautiful campground with almost every site directly along the river. two pools-1 inside are on site. good fishing and tubing in the river and close to clayton for shopping or dinner. Tallulah gorge and park are less than 5 min away with nice hikes around the edge of the gorge. expensive sites though at 60-70/night. Ga mountain fairgrounds also a favorite, especially when we want to be on lake chatuge. I recommend the B loop on the fairgrounds side- best sites with easy access to the lake if you wanted to bring your boat, swim etc. The chophouse restaurant is right next to the property and the chef was apparently a prior white house chef so the food is awesome. There are lots of others around but these are some of our favorites close to home.
