Camping on I81 Virginia

We will be traveling to Nashville the first week of May for College graduation.
This is our first trip with our TT. Any suggestions on campgrounds on 81 in the northern part of the State? Winchester is the halfway point for us traveling from NH. So anything probably up to 100 miles south of there would be ok.
Looking online hasn't shown very many options.
Thanks,
Lane & Bette

When we drove from Connecticut to the start of the skyline drive in Virginia we stayed at the Pine Grove Furnace State Park, Gardners, PA. It was a really great park. Wooded sites, I think there was only electric and water hook ups. It might be a bit to north for you though. I think our next stop was to far south for a single day. Good luck.

If you go a little further south of Winchester to Staunton, Walnut Hills KOA campground is nice.

I LOVE Pine Grover Furnace State Park - in fact, I'm going tent camping there at the end of March. The water hookups are not dedicated to individual sites (even if it looks like the hookup is near a site). The campground is split between electric and non-electric sites. Though, I did see that there are 1 or 2 50amp sites. The campground is pretty cozy getting around - in fact, I'm tent camping at the end of the month because my setup is too big for me to feel comfortable getting around.

Not a campground, but we've stayed overnight several times at the Winchester, VA Cracker Barrel. Always good to have breakfast in the morning before leaving.

Walnut Hills KOA X2. Clean campground with easy on, easy off and diesel off the exit.

Some relatives stayed here once and liked it. FALLING WATERS CAMPSITE | Owned and operated by the Leatherman family since 1962. . North of Winchester on the West Virgina line

A google search shows a campground right in Winchester. Not sure how it is Candy Hill Campground
