I have been considering Grayton for next year's summer vacation. How far is the walk to the beach?

On the west coast of FL (Sarasota) is Turtle Beach CG.

It is small 1 lane county CG right on the beach for about $42/night depending on season/site. Full hookups with BH & laundry.

Just stayed at Henderson State Park Destin. I think $33 a night. Across from Bass Pro Shop. 1/4 mile bike/walk to the beach. Some of the larges sites pull thru I seen. E/W only. Great for us for a weekend.

We do "Camping on the Gulf" every year and every year I look for a comparable park right on the beach. I have yet to find one. They have a giant slide for the kids, pool, and "Bubba" the gator. What more could you ask? We pay closer to $120 about 20 yards from the beach(theres no sewer on the beachfront).
