We like Sea-Vu campground in Wells ME. Nothing fancy, but close to a bunch of beaches

You might want to check out Libby's Oceanside at York Beach. Some of the sites are right on the ocean - others are a short walk away.

There are tons of campgrounds along the coast! Where do you want to be? Baileys is definitely kid friendly but they have a tendency to charge extra for everything! Further up the coast is the Portland KOA, Wolf’s Neck in Freeport(on the coast and home of LLbean), Freeport KOA, further up the coast Barhabor KOA(on the coast). I have stayed at all of these, I like them all the ones that are not on the water are not far away!

We spent 2 summers at Wild Acres in Old Orchard Beach (OOB) but found it to be a bit too loud (train runs right next to it).

We then moved to a new campground and I just booked our 3rd year at Hid'n Pines. We like this campground because it is dog friendly, has a grocery store right outside the entrance, and is a quick and quiet 20 minute walk to the beach on back roads. The best part is the OOB beach allows dogs on the beach until 10 am and after 5 pm in the summer. The main reason we keep coming back to OOB is for the ability to walk and chat on the beach 2 times a day.
