Post Carolina Carports

Here is a photo of the incline for my "never moves" Cherokee Lite A28+ camper. I tried all the ideas suggested here at FR and my husband even contracted a roof man to come redo the roof.

I have given up! Now I have a contract with CC and am wondering if anyone out there had the problem I face. It is on an incline and cannot be moved. Please get back with me about ways to get the "left" side of trailer one foot taller than "right" side of the trailer leveled.

This is a photo from our first delivery of the camper. It is now leveled and needs a carport. Thanks so much for your information!

Not sure what you are looking for?
Are you looking for a way to level your trailer or a carport?
What is a Carolina carpet?

So.... The pic is from 2011. Is this post a scam or just something to test our sobriety? And why was the roof redone and what relationship is that to leveling and a carport? I need to lay down...

Post Yes, it is carport.

I have leveled the unit. The photo is before it was leveled. Now that it is leveled on this incline, the back (left) is nine feet above the ground level and the front (right) is only 8 feet above the ground level.

It may be that CC will not put up the carport on an incline. Has anyone taken an incline to level ground? Thank you.

The roof was redone because water gets into the camper. A carport will prevent snow build up and water puddling to "hopefully" eliminate water on the inside of the camper. Thanks so much if you have any experience leveling the ground or with Caroline Carports.

X2

As far as leveling the carport legs will extend some side to side and come in different lengths but?

I do know that that they sell a lot of carports

Eight Feet and Nine Feet above ground level? How on Earth do you enter this "Tree House"? I think all would like to see a "After Pic's" of this "Level Job"! Pic's would HELP to figure out the next move to build a "Carport Cover" over this TT! Youroo!!

Is this a seasonal site at a CG or is it your own land? If it is your own land have a cement pad poured that is level and at the dimensions needed for the carport. With the TT that far out of level I wouldn't run the fridge or use the slide(s).

Having had a carport installed (not Carolina Carports) they do require the site to be level. Mine sits on crushed concrete.

Your only option, since you say it can't be moved, would be to build a stem wall on each side of the TT that would also have lag bolts for securing the carport rails. If this is a true height the stem wall is the only thing that would anchor the carport. Eight feet seems extreme unless you are in a flood zone like on the down slope from a trout stream.

Carolina Carport's requires level ground. Also I very much doubt they will assemble a carport over the trailer because of possible damages and liability.

You will need to move the camper, level the ground, get the carport put up, put the camper back.

Your other option would be pole barn type construction with roof only. That could be done on unlevel ground but you will still need to have the trailer out of the way to build it unless you do the construction yourself.

Youroo you gave me a good laugh with the tree house comment.

To the OP... we can't help you.
Your description of 8-9 FEET ABOVE ground level makes no realistic sense.

Unless you provide detailed photos and better information, we are simply guessing.

Best of luck with your project.

I need the carport six feet above the roof so the Dometic can be maintained. They told me to measure from ground to roof. That is what I measured. I will take my camera next week and post the latest photograph. Thanks for your interest.

I just ordered one for some covered parking here. I was told that the adjustment was up to 6" over the entire length of the carport. So based on what you're saying of having a foot difference front to back, they will require you to level it further. I would call them to be sure.

My carport was not with Carolina Carports, but they required no more than 4 inches out of level front to back or side to side.

My carport is the same as the company you're looking at. A level site (within several inches) was required for the warranty. They will probably install yours like you want it, but void the very short, almost worthless warranty. I think 6' is too much height over the RV. Mine is about 4' and I just crawl around to do maintenance. Lower is better as far as protection from the elements, and from wind.
