Cedarville State Forest

We spent the weekend at Cedarville State Forest. Maryland Department of Natural Resources - Maryland Park Service

Very nice rustic park about 20 miles south of Washington, DC. Besides a little airplane noise, you'd never know. The family camping area has about 20 sites. Half are just electric and half are no electric. There are multiple water spigots scattered around with a dump station towards the exit. Very quite wooded area. Not well known and not at all crowded. 3/4 of the sites were empty. I believe 35 feet is maximum length.

My wife and I stayed there last Sept. For 4 days and we enjoyed it. Very clean and quiet. We drove about 6 miles to the end of the metro line and took the subway into D.C. for 2 days. Was easy

Stayed there last July and was the only camper in the place from Monday-Thursday. Very nice place! Wish I had known how to use the subway system...I will next time.

Where did you get on the metro at? Was it a straight shot or did you have to transfer. How long was the trip into DC?
