Central Pennsylvania routes.

I was wondering how US route 322 is between State College and Harrisburg? Assuming speed limit most of the way, how long is the trip?

I am going from NE Ohio and Philly and I am not sure which way to go. I-80 to US 322 to I-76 looks pretty good on paper.

That stretch of 322 is not bad. It's a nice 2 lane (each way) highway with little traffic. Should be able to travel at 60-65mph with no problem. Things will slow down a little around H-burg especially if you hit rush hour. From there the PA turnpk is an easy drive to Philly(approx. 90 miles). The other option is to take 80 the whole way to the PA Northeast extension of the PA turnpk. The NE extension will also take you right in to 76, but can back up sometimes approaching the city. Hope this helps.

Thanks, I figured the highway between the state university and the state capital would be fairly good. Sounds good, sure beats that $48 toll from the I-76 west gate.

Hopefully there is no construction.

Bala Cynwyd area and then back to French Creek SP for the nite.

Now I have to figure out how to get out of this town at 5:30/6PM. Traffic is busy already.
