We have gone to Hunting Island, SC several times over the Martin Luther King holiday during the middle of January. HI is about 60 miles south of Charleston.

The weather was cool, during the days, it was in the 50's and it got down into the low 30s at night.

That being said, we had a blast, wore sweatshirts and pants and had a blast. There was one day that it got into the high 60s and it felt like spring to me.

phillyg I have been going to Ocala FL every Jan since 06. Only once during that time was it cold, snowed on Friday night. Other wise low 60 to mid 70 or warmer. You from the NE?

His profile says he is from Florida. So warm for us northerners is cold for him. I lived in FL while in service and when I lived in FL my blood thinned out and felt the cold more. Go to Disney world in January and you can tell the Floridians and the out of staters. Out of staters will have shorts and t shirts and the floridians will have jackets on🎉.

I was down there two years ago end of January and was nice weather and was in the pool.

We live in Charleston and the weather can be 30 or 60 during the day. Very unpredictable. January is not a wet month typically. While the weather is usually nice we do a month or so in SOUTH Florida for warm weather.

You can stay at a KOA in Mt Pleasant or a state park at Bulls Bay or James Island County Park in Charleston.

I live in Charleston SC and we head to Florida in January. It could be nice but it may still be quite cold but much warmer than Pittsburg. If you do come James Island County Park is the most convenient to the city.
