Smile Cherokee North Carolina Camp Grounds

Hi Guys, anybody camped in Cherokee North Carolina Indain reservation. I've heard there's some really good trout fishing on the reservation and Im thinking about a trip soon. Im looking for suggestions on camp grounds. Im not really into KOAs and I like a more of a natural setting away from town and the noises that come along with them. I have read some good reviews about Indian Creek Camp ground, Anybody camped there. Thanks in advance.

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention, My rig is a 33 1/2 ft Primetime fifthwheel so the campground would have to accomidate my rig. I dont care about full hook up or cable tv, but electric and water woud be nice but not necessary. If there s a really nice campgound that has super trout fishing,I still have my trusty Pop up camper if I can't get my 5er in

I have stayed there a few times but it has been a few years. We stayed at the Happy Holiday just outside of town. It was very nice when we were there it may be worth checking out. It is like a 2or 3 miles north of the Casino.

I am not much into KOAs either but have stayed at the Cherokee KOA twice for family reunions. Our family thoroughly enjoyed both stays, it was close to whatever you wanted to do. The campground offered shuttles to the casino, town shopping and white water rafting trips. There were two ponds to fish in and the river ran right next to the campground. If I had a complaint it would be that the ground crew started early in the morning to beat the heat and the leaf blowers would wake us up but we were in a pop-up, the noise didn't bother our family members staying in a class C.
