We stayed there in 06/2013... nice park and great place to stay to see DC. We chose to ride the shuttle bus that leaves the CG at 07:00 - it leaves you at the train station in DC. We packed a cold breakfast, got coffee at the station and ate outside by the fountains each day. The bus departs from the bus terminal at like 4:30 each day. The early ride in to DC was quicker than the metro, the return trip was significantly longer... but was convenient. Bought our tickets for the metro and for the grayline right there at the CG... Great supermarket up the road and anything else you might need was close by... would stay there again... we got a site close to the front that was a little tight but OK for our purpose.

Stayed there in 2012. ♡ It and would go back. FYI we drive to the metro station. Traffic wasn't bad and it was like a 10 min drive. We were there July 4th week also. Pool was great also. We stayed right across from it.
