X2, but it's the extreme southern tip of Pinellas County, probably more than an hour away in traffic. If you picked Clearwater because it's a nice place, consider Fort DeSoto; if you picked Clearwater because your parents live there, Fort DeSoto's too far away.
Fort DeSoto is the only county-operated campground in Pinellas County. I looked for something near Clearwater recently and didn't find anything attractive to me. There are private RV parks catering to the big-rig crowd. Maybe that's what you're looking for, but I wasn't.
