Cleveland and Allegheny Forest

We are heading to Canton, Cleveland and then thru Allegheny Forest on way back to Philly. I am booked at Canton at Clays park Resort. However, we don't have campgrounds yet booked for Cleveland and the Allegheny Forest. Any recommendations for either? Thanks.

Not sure about Cleveland are however we're booked at 2 KOA's next week and Memorial weekend, one in Thompson OH and Streetsboro OH. We've been in the Allegheny Forest area a few times and our favorite so far is a place called Kalyumet (spelling might be off a bit lol). We like Kalyumet so much we booked it twice this season. Your in the tall pines, typical things to do like swim, mini golf and lazer tag and go carts right down the road and super nice owners!

We took Highway 6 through the Alleghany NF in Spring of 2016. LOTS of hills/mountains. Beautiful drive, but stressful at times. On the Western edge near Warren is a lovely spot, Buckaloons Rec Area... nice trails and river views... Check it out!

there is no camping in Cleveland, Only National Park in the USA without a campground, and it is the most visited in the US! Anyway your best bet would be East of the city, I do not know when or how long you will stay in Cleveland, Clays is about 1 hour south on State Rt 21. Punderson State Park is 45 min east of Cleveland on Rt. 87. (near rt. 322)Streetsboro is another option close to the Turnpike.

Good Luck!
