Colonial Williamsburg - Thanksgiving 2015
Only negative to American Heritage is the "Parking Nazi" on the golf cart that continually tells me where to not park. Actually, I've come to see him as a form of entertainment now.
My first encounter occurred when he told me that I could not park my truck on my site because it was too large. He then informed me to park it on the grass across the road. Being as I do not live very far from the site, I carried my truck home to go get my much smaller '66 Plymouth. Needless to say, when I rumbled through the park with the cam hitting a real nice lope, he came over to tell me that the park was for guest only. He was totally disgusted when he noticed my parking pass. This year when I returned, I set up and parked exactly where he had instructed me to park the previous year. Immediately, he came over to tell me that I could not park there. I informed him that I had previously been instructed to park my truck there. He quickly said that it was not by him. I just smiled and said I couldn't remember exactly who it was other than some old geezer on a golf cart. The park is very nice so long as you do not allow Herman Goering to ruin your stay. Just take him in stride and enjoy yourself.
