Cove lake state park TN

Hope this pic uploads correctly. We are camping here for a week and the park is very nice. It's not far from Knoxville. There are several hiking trails, a pretty lake for fishing and several playgrounds for the kids. Should be awesome with fall colors in a couple of weeks.

We will be here at least through the weekend. We want to go back to cumberland gap but it is closed due to the shutdown so we are kind of playing things by ear.

Well maybe something positive will happen and you will be able to get back up there.
It is on my short list of places to go to, we just haven't made it up to Cumberland Gap just yet.

We are lucky in many ways because we didn't have reservations at any place in particular. We spent several weeks earlier this year over at Cumberland gap and decided we needed to see it in the fall. It's still a little early for the leaves so there is still hope. They don't accept reservations there and it's almost never full so we aren't worried. If it doesn't work out we may head over to myrtle beach. Or down south to Georgia.

There are several forest river units here but I haven't seen many folks outside.
