Creeper trail camping

This thread may belong somewhere else but I was wandering if some one could offer a suggestion on campgrounds ( full hookups ) in the creeper trial area of Va. Anything you all may have found, not listed on the internet, that is within 10 miles of the trail. Looking to reserve for four families...4 RVs that is.

Riverside Campground, Abingdon, VA is about 8 miles from the north end of the Creeper Trail and has full hookups. If you are going to Damascus, VA to catch a shuttle up the mountain you would be about 16 miles away. The top section of the trail from Whitetop Station to Green Cove is closed for repairs. The National Forest Service hopes to have repairs made by Memorial Day. Beartree Campground is closest but has no hookups although it is a beautiful campground. Grayson Highlands State Park is close to the south end (Whitetop Station) and has water and electric. I think you will really enjoy the Creeper Trail.

And if you're looking for other diversions while in the area, check out the website for the Barter Theatre in Abingdon. Great theater performances in a historic venue, if you are interested in that type of thing. We went with friends after they road the Creeper Trail and saw a great professional performance. We stayed in a campground over in Bristol, TN, which sounds like it's too far away for your plans.
