Crystal Isles

Has anyone stayed at Crystal Isles RV park in Crystal River Florida. We are going there in dec. Getting mixed reviews from different websites, but most comments are at least a year old. I understand Encore mgt. Has taken it over in the last year and am curios as to any opinions about this park.

We have camped there a few times. Its an ok park , I know they suffered major damage from the last big storm that went through but they surely have things back to normal by now.We live in the Ocala area so its an easy short drive for us. We drove by there a couple wks ago an it looked ok from the roadway, how ever we did notice the front office was closed an they seemed to be operating out of a mobile trailer for the time being. There were a lot of rvs hooked up so I assume all is good. Hope this helped a little.

Crystal Isles is mediocre at best. If it rains chances are high that you'll have standing water on your site. And the no-see-ums are brutal there. You may want to check into Rock Crusher Canyon RV Park in Crystal River. It's a much better option.

Thanks for replies. Your info is helpful. We booked this place thinking it would be a good park , where it is an Encore run facility. But I am not hearing great things about Crystal Isles. I don't know what we will do but thanks again for your input.

Encore does not translate into QUALITY OR COMFORT. Some ok; some not; like any big chain expanding rapidly.

I DOUBT you will get into Rock Crusher Canyon in Crystal River. Have camped there several times on weekly rates vs long term. I tried long term last year a LOT EARLIER than November and it was SOLD OUT! Would not even put me on a wait list they had so many already on it.

Lot of grass and trees but spaces are very adequate. Good news it is off the beaten path and no road noise, etc.
LARGE PARK. Great showers and laundry. VERY WELL MAINTAINED.
Even my wife used the facilities.
Pool area is average in size but caged and heated and clean.

It would be my #1 pick if in the area.
Golf course ( reasonable ) within 15 minutes; restaurants, stores, all within
very short drive, under 5 miles.
