Thanks for the pix. That's a good pix to show the wife, as I we can just make out our site. We're heading there Thursday, thru Tuesday. Can't wait. One of the few times a year we camp with hookups.

I took the pic from the southbound lane shoulder bike lane. The north bound side has a divider made just for the bikers and pedestrians, better for pics of the ocean. Took the last pic from center between the support cables.

If you like to fish, it's the place to camp. The wife and I were there last week and they were pulling bluefish out with every cast.

We were there again this past weekend and they were pulling some monster stripers over the rail.

Can you guys who have been on the north side with full hookups post up some site numbers? I'd really prefer the back in sites over what looks like very tight pull throughs on the south side. I called and the girl while nice was of very little help. Wish they would fix their mapping issues. I can see the back in sites on the north side on the map but there are no site numbers. Thanks in advance
Scott

We were just in site 453 this weekend. Close to the water and towards the Coast Guard station.

Thank you!
I just booked it. I overlayed the sites from the bottom right corner of the map that made no sense onto the sites that had no numbers on the north side, and they matched. So I booked 442 and 444. Looks like I got it right!

We were in 440. I didn't mind it at all but FYI at 7am the Coast Guard guys start the engines on their big boat for the morning PM then at 8am you have the recording of trumpets (not loud) for the raising of the our stars and stripes. Man, I love that stuff. If I'm outside, the hat comes off and I stand at attention till it's done.

On state park's website if you skip over the reservation map scroll down to campsite map it gives you site numbers. Web site is a little screwed up in that respect.

I have site 436 booked. Hopefully it is an end sight close to the rails.

If you look for a link on on the state park website "campground map" it will give you a good idea where your site is. It is a good site, though the coast guard might have you up a little earlier than you might want.

not really sure why all the confusion, the site is very simple to navigate and find the availability map. Just so you know, site 436 is an end site.

We enjoyed our trip down to Delaware seashore this weekend. Had site 444 and a buddy had 442. 444 was a bit tight getting the 37' trailer in with my CCLB truck. The weather really didn't play nice, was too cold to swim and got a good bit of rain. Wound up taking a ride out to Nassau Valley Vineyards for a wine tasting during Saturday afternoons pouring rain. That was worth the trip. Also stopped at the Delaware Distilling Company and restaurant on the way back to camp, their tour was not exciting and the manager was REALLY pushy about trying to get us to stay for food, though we made our intentions very clear before the tour. Got a few decent walks on the beach when the sun came out. All in all we will definitely consider going back.
Getting ready to hitch the truck up
