I spent alot of time at Ridley Creek but then it got too "strange" for me.

I didn't know about the scrabble factory so close to home.

Strange? really? How? I have not been in the park for quite sometime.

The Scrappler factory was right as you turned onto Knowlton Rd from 352 (going towards Linvila). It was the large (if it is still there) industrial building on the right.

Was that Habberset? I lived right on 352 in Chester right across from the entrance to Chester Park.

My family has spent a lot of time going to this fair and it really has been going the wrong way in our opinion. They used to have a really nice display of rvs but there is hardly any there now. The shows have haven't changed in the last few years. My family has said we won't go back for a few years now. If you never have been it is worth going to check it out though. It is usually really hot everytime we have been.

I like scrapple also.....

Yeah, your experience is typical elsewhere also. But this will be my first time.

I prefer to go on a weekday but the rest of the crew are only available on the weekends.

Thanks for sharing.

Yes you should go once. There is live stock exhibits, antique tractors, good vendors. Carnival rides and gimmicks are interesting and some are fun. I am trying to convince myself to go. DW does not believe that chickens can be blue. I believe that it's 4H does a chicken showing. So I want to take her to see them. Also try to talk her into going to the demo derbies.

Last year I think it was they didnt have the chickens because of the poultry disease that was going around. We use to always go and see the rodeo that was free and last year you had to buy tickets to see it. They have had the same Hollywood racing pigs display where little pigs race around a little track for the last three or four years.

Like I said defiantly worth going to once but I have been the last 10 years in a row and it has really been going the wrong direction. If it is hot get the free refill ice tea deal that got going on. That is worth it for sure when it is really hot out.
