Have reservations at the Fort for two weeks in June. Not the best time to visit WDW and Universal, but have to work with the time available in a school year. Taking one set of grandkids (12 and 15) for their first visit.
I have been there a few times and even worked there for a year in 1989-90. To this day, it is still the only job I have ever regretted leaving.
The best part for me will be watching their enjoyment while re-living one of the most memorable times of my past.
Four years from now, I will take the second set (then 5,8 and 12) for their first visit and do it all over again.
Isn't this what grandkids are for?

Ken

Just left FW about a week ago. Enjoyed every minute there. Had a premium site in the 400 loop. Loved it. This was our third visit in less than 1 year and will probably be back in August of this year. Been there at least once a year since '84 and always enjoyed going back!

Anyone near Gettysburg Easter weekend we have a group camping there from the Fort Fiends site and are always looking for new folks to join the group, plus you get a lot of Disney knowledge all in one spot. Come join the fun!!!!!!!

We are spending a week at St. Joseph state park in April, then going to Ft. Wilderness for a week in November. Ohio to Florida and back twice in one season. Guess I'll be putting some miles on the rig this year!

I keep thinking of going to FL in Nov. for a week then putting the unit in storage there. Then driving down over spring break, camp for the week and bring it back to OH for the season.

ependydad... If you need any suggestions on anything Disney, just give me a shout. Resorts, best tickets, best restaurants etc... Been going yearly for almost 20-years. I understand the place better than most of their employees...lol. Since I'm new to camping, I'm not much help with Ft Wilderness, but all other aspects, I'm good.

Thanks! We apparently are frequent flyers going every other year or so. Right now- we're planning on going to Orlando for the summer but only doing some kind of non-park dining experience with character interactions: Mickey's Backyard BBQ or Chef Mickeys or something.

We have 10 days at Fort Wilderness then plan to bounce over to the TT park to also do the non Disney things, maybe we will bump into you at TT.
