We try to visit Fort Wilderness every other month or so. We just go for 4 or 5 days to see
all the parks. We try to stay away from the real hot days. Now that we downsized from a large A to a 26' C, we can park in the smaller sites. They usually upgrade you to Premium if available.

Not sure if you mean for Ft. Wilderness or Disney in general? I wouldn't think it would be too busy for the fort, but this is a very busy time of year overall for Disney. Like the PP said, there's really no noticeable let up until September. Also... The new Fantasy Land expansion at Magic Kingdom has seen that parks congestion increase (dramatically, IMO). Even during the off-peak weeks/months, MK is very crowded by early afternoon, compared to recent years. Our rule is to never go to Magic Kingdom on a Saturday (When a higher number of vacationers arrive and when most "locals" visit).

We are also Thousand Trail Members and we camp a lot at Hershey. I spoke to some members that go there and they say it is hard to get reservation.
I believe TT is about 7 miles from Disney.
Our first trip To Disney camping was in 2000 and we stayed in Fort Wildness then headed back to Disney when my daughter played lacrosse in her freshman year in college, she play at Disney's Wide World Of Sports, not able to camp then, now it will be just my wife and I.

Summer time there is a killer, we were there at the end of June in to July....never again too hot.

Come join us, Mickey is not getting any older, but we are.....Remember, Disney is for kids of all ages

Now that we are empty nesters, we can afford to go now and have fun before the grand kids come along, then I will be broke again

We stayed at TT Orlando For Christmas 2012. While it may only be 7 miles, it was literally a 40 minute drive from the campsite to park parking lot! But, we had a good time anyway. My first Disney trip was in June of 2001 for our honeymoon, so I got a taste of the hot then. We just purchased season passes to the Sea World/Busch Gardens company, so we hope to spend a fair amount of time at those parks this summer.

Hershey TT is really nice. We've never had a problem getting in or even finding a site for our size. In fact, we've never had a problem getting reservations at any of the East Coast parks. Sea Pines in NJ can be tricky to find a site big enough AND has sewer, but overall- it's not awful. This will be our first year of 2 or 3 that we don't spend a couple of weeks there.

Locals avoid Disney from March through September for a reason.
