Anyone making plans to go to Disney World this years?
We just booked two weeks in November.

We're on the fence about going this summer. If we do, we'll likely stay at Thousand Trails in Clermont and down the road at one of the Encore parks alternating 2 weeks at TT and 1 week at the other.

My wife is pretty set on doing the Princess 5K and 10K in February 2015 but she wants to fly and hotel it on property and all that jazz.

We're looking at sometime in the fall, but not in the TT. Way too far (22+ hours drive) to try to bring a trailer. Besides, when I looked at prices last year out of curiosity it was cheaper to stay in one of the value resorts than it was for Fort Wilderness. For that matter, FW was more expensive than PO:FQ which is classified as a moderate.

Will be there 3/29-4/5 this year. Not sure we will actually do the Disney parks this time around, but plan on going to Universal a couple days.

Yes, FW is a higher priced moderate and time of year is key for overall pricing. But the savings come in having a kitchen and not needing a meal plan or to eat out. We tracked all expenses 2 years ago (jan 2013) and we spent half as much as the cheapest meal plan so it worked out to be less expensive to go without a plan. And we did not solely eat at the RV either, we just planned our outings and ate in half the time.

Plus with pets once you deal with a sitter or boarding what you save on a value resort and possibly airfare is quickly wiped out.
