I guess it depends on if you have kids and what you want to do about school. I had several park workers tell me the best week to go is the week after Thanksgiving as far as crowds and they are decorated for Christmas.

My personal favorite time is that green period in November: cool, no bugs, little rain, Christmas decorations, Osborne lights. We always go then. As annual passholders we go often anyway. Our kids cannot appreciate what a WDW vacation means to others. They see it regularly.

We have always gone in late April.
Had to take the kids out of school to do it, but most of the schools spring breaks are done by then and the weather wasn't bad.
It is ALWAYS busy at Disney, so be prepared for wait times no matter when you visit.
We took the Grandson this last April and had a blast. If you are staying on the grounds, use the fast pass system, it really is nice to just "walk on" the rides.

I've spent three weeks there all told, a week each in early December, early November and mid October and will attest to those stats, however Fort Wilderness was near capacity while the parks were light.

If you're thinking of going in October that's when they hold their food and wine festival at Epcot. Free wine for all, unless you're good with being around some really drunk people might want to avoid that time frame. I had more than a couple of bad experiences because of the drunk people.

Thanks for the info. I'm trying to plan a trip to Disney and we are flexible on when we can go. I've been there many times, the worst was August for a family reunion! It was too hot for me and the daily thunderstorms gave me daily migraines!

I think this is a difficult question to answer. Is the best time to go when it is cheapest? When it is coolest? When it is hottest? When there are special events being held?

I am not even sure how I could answer that for myself.
