Sounds quite successful! I, too, am fully a believer in camping at Disney and we didn't even stay on property this past Christmas (stayed at Thousand Trails Orlando). It was just nice to have "home" to go back to - and that's even doing a timeshare 2 bedroom apartment a few years back.

Ty! I really like the fort fiends site.

The last night really made the end of the Disney experience excellent though as I was able to talk both of my girls (7 and 5) into going on the Tower of Terror, followed by the Star Wars ride and then the grand finale of watching Fantasmic!

About the only part that we didn't care for as much was the drive. At first it was are we there yet, and on the way home it was are we almost home....... It was our longest trip pulling the fifth wheel. But I will say that the kids did great, and one of these days I am going to get the DW to drive

We did get to stay at a couple of great campgrounds along the way and found one that we plan on making another trip to in the mountains of Tennessee.
We are getting ready to head down this weekend. What was your mileage round trip? Can't wait to see the grandkids (3&8) faces when we pull in. All they know is that we're going camping in Florida.

They will have a blast. We averaged 10.2 according to the computer (I didn't keep track by hand) but I will say that also included some time driving around Orlando after we were there and unhooked. I was also averaging between 70 and 75 mph the whole way, which was 2600 miles round trip. Drive safely and have fun.

Thx QC- We took a trip a couple weekends ago up to NH, and the computer said 14.6mpg, but when I did the 'hard' numbers on the calculator, it came out to 10, but who's watching the numbers, right? It's about the same in mileage for us, maybe a tick more.
