According to the crew at fortfiends it is very hard to get an offsite golf cart rental onto WDW property. There are still one or two companies that will do it but you have to be tricky. Check out www.fortfiends.net for info on golf carts, video of all the loops at fort wilderness and everything disney you ever wanted to know.

Was looking at getting an off site cart earlier. Sounds like you have to pick up and bring in yourself now, they don't allow them to drop off anymore.

according to fortfiends I think there is still 1 guy who manages to get in and out but not sure. If you go and pick up do they rent ramps or a little trailer to move it?

We are walkers and never minded walking from our campsite to various areas of the campground. Walked to the Hoop Dee Doo Revue, walked to the playgrounds. Even took our dogs in the pouring rain to the dog park. Hey, if you're going to get wet anyways, might as well just get soaked!

Kenny from Tee Time Rentals, can provide you with a cart.

Campground is great and the family is tired we are now through 3 parks with a stop at Universal as well to visit some friends and have dinner at the HardRock. Golf cart rental has been a lifesaver for us and worth the money in my opinion.

We are not newbies to Disney so we have been able to hit everything we wanted so far. Never thought I would download the Disney app either, but did this time and is it nice to check on wait times and Fast Pass returns.

Hollywood studios tomorrow and then a toss up for the last day's pass. Daughters get to choose.

Just rented through Disney. Much easier to pickup and return. Worth the $$ for late notice. We hadn't planned on renting, but it can be a darn long walk and I'm pretty lazy sometimes.

how bad are disney's prices for a golf cart if you don't mind my asking. And was that for a 4 or 6 seater?

O.M.G.... how we LOVE Beverly Beach Camptown!!!!! We haven't been there since we first bought our PUP a couple years ago, and I've been dying to go back!

When I was little we went to Disney a couple times a year, minimal. Since I've been grown, I've got about every 5 years. The ticket prices have gone sky high over the last 15 years, you just about have to be a Florida resident to be able to enjoy Disney without taking out a loan. Our last trip in December 2012 was a little over $3000 for 2 adults and a 2 year old for 7 days, and the dining plan was free... I'm not sure I can stand many more price increases but I still love going to Disney.

Well the trip to Disney and Ft. Wilderness was a success and I would have to say that if we go to Disney again, we will be camping again rather than staying in a hotel/house/condo on or off property. We hit all of the parks, saw the lighted boat parade and Magic Kingdom fireworks right from the campground, and wore everyone out. The last night really made the end of the Disney experience excellent though as I was able to talk both of my girls (7 and 5) into going on the Tower of Terror, followed by the Star Wars ride and then the grand finale of watching Fantasmic!

About the only part that we didn't care for as much was the drive. At first it was are we there yet, and on the way home it was are we almost home....... It was our longest trip pulling the fifth wheel. But I will say that the kids did great, and one of these days I am going to get the DW to drive

We did get to stay at a couple of great campgrounds along the way and found one that we plan on making another trip to in the mountains of Tennessee.
