Lots of People until after Labor Day Weekend.

What Campground??

There is a little bit of everything get a tourist book for ideas....... There are dinner shows, outlet malls, Ripley's Aquarium and other Ripley's attractions, the giant sky wheel, golf courses, putt putt,

If you like Seafood Go to the Sea Captains House, Myrle's Inlet also has good Seafood.

Anything you like or dislike its probably there, Kids?? Grandkids ?

Sept 3rd is Labor Day. We will be next door at Ocean Lakes Campground 8/31 to 9/9.

I think Camping Connection (I think that is their name) is at the entrance to Lakewood if you need parts or service, they are super nice people. There is a Camping World not too far down 544. Across from Lakewood there is a Mini Walmart and a Liquor Store. Both great for supplies

Maybe someone else will chime in. We have been going to Ocean Lakes for 20 years and go to the area 4 -5 times a year but we go to get away anymore and do not do a lot like we did in the past.

Our kids may come for Labor day but we may have the rest of the week by ourselves that would be the first in 33 years. Our kids never stopped coming with us and we are really not complaining.

I tend to just go places and not think about it anymore in Myrtle Beach.

Market Commons is a nice area near by it is on the old MB Airbase. Nice movie theater, restaurants and quaint shops. It is between Lakewood and Myrtle Beach Airport. Also Broadway at the Beach has restaurants, shopping, and more around a lake, fireworks on some nights.

We stay at Pirateland mostly because we have family with a double wide on a permanent site there. We usually don’t stay with them, but it’s nice to have family around. We’ve had family in MB for over 30 years. Our son and DIL moved to the area last year.

We got a week scheduled in early August. We would rather go in September but it’s not working out this year. It’s definitely better after Labor Day. I’m not a fan of OPK (other people’s kids). Two years ago a family across from us used their truck bed for a playpen and their unsupervised 4 year old ran into our slide-out while riding his bike through our site. (End of rant.)

Lots of things to see and do up and down the coast. Of course, there’s a lot of golf courses, water parks, shopping and restaurants.

No I was just adding the correct name to help the original poster if he decided to go there.

X2 on Sea Captain's House. Top-notch. Calabash, just north of NC/SC line, is another great seafood commiunty.

Schools around here start around the 25 of August so the amount of people at the campground might be a little less the first part of your trip, then fill up for labor day, and then empty back out.

The sky wheel is neat to do once I like going close to dusk so you still see out over the ocean but all of the city lights are starting to show up. While there you can check out the board walk play some skee ball. If you want to pig out on fried seafood or crab legs hit a calabash. We will be at ocean lakes for labor day.

We stay at Myrtle Beach Travel Park, but only in winter. The warm-weather crowds are not for us.

Take a ride to Wilmington, NC. Do a tour of The North Carolina. Worth the trip.

We just got back from MB last week. Spent 7 days at the KOA. I was surprised how nice that campground was. We rented a golf cart as it seemed the easiest way to get around without paying for parking. We ate at a seafood buffet all you can eat, that was great. It was pretty hot. 1st time and will go back.

GO WALK THE BEACH
We've vacationed in Myrtle Beach (condo, not camping yet) every 3 years or so for 25 years. What everybody else said is good too
Have fun. When i finally get a bigger TV, we'll be heading that direction as well.

We will be stopping in Myrtle Beach on our way home from the Nascar Race in Pocono. We are going to Pirate Land the first week of August. We like the restaurants in Murrel's Inlet and Little River. My DW loves walking along the beach in the early morning. She also likes the lazy river pool at the campground. There is so much to do. A fun thing to do once is taking a Segway tour.
