Duck Dynasty & Gulf Shores, AL

The kids finished school last Friday. We left PA around lunch time and spent the evening in Knoxville, TN.

Saturday we spent the day touring the Nashville, TN area and dinner at the Opryland Hotel.

Headed out Sunday morning and stopped for some BBQ in Memphis. Traveled South on rt 61 into Mississippi and Arkansas and arrived at a small campground in West Monroe, LA last evening.

This morning we will stop at the Duck Commander warehouse and then head east to Gulf Shores, AL for the rest of the week.

Our three kids love to watch Duck Dynasty and have no clue we are stopping there this morning. They keep asking why it is taking sooo long to get to the beach.

Can one just stop by the duck commander warehouse? I love the show also... have made the pawn stars trip to vegas before (twice actually) got inside easily once had to wait for a while the 2nd time only to get tossed out for filming 10 minutes later... never saw any stars either time.
I can imagine Phil would enthusiastically chase city slickers off, shotgun in hand lol

We arrived at the warehouse around 9:30am. Bought some t-shirts, etc. Here is a picture of Godwin while we where waiting in line to pay. After you paid he would do photos, autographs, etc. Those photos are on the camera.

By the time we left the place was packed.

Monroe & West Monroe are a lot bigger towns then the TV show portrays.

Wished I would have saw this thread before your visit. You could have stopped in and said Hi. I am only a quarter of a mile past Duck Dynastys place. They bought the building about 300 yards from me, and are supposed to be moving their retail store there, but nothing has happened yet.

My handle here of WMTire is short for West Monroe Tire.

Hope you enjoyed our town and your visit here.
