I have found the the weather is better after Labour day. Plus you will find the ocean water the warmest. If you do plan on seeing the Cabot Trail (should not miss). I recommend using a CG near Baddeck as a base camp to tour CB Island. Fortress Louisburg is also a must see. I enjoy the CG at Seal Island at the base of Kelly's Mountain in a great place to stay. All sites have a view of the water.

Nothing at all against Canada Itat. Am close enough to visit regularly. Is just easier to find a campground without reservations on this side of the border, especially when the weather is good enough to camp.

Definitely agree about the reservations for our Provincial Parks during school summer break, but outside of that, and for KOAs and many private campgrounds, it's usually not a problem to get a site last minute.

Your area is a beautiful area to visit, especially when the Fall colors at at their peak.

Schnauzer Mom. Going to Hilton Head! You'll love it. There's a wonderful rv resort called Hilton Head Harbor RV Resort and Marina. Lovely sites and quiet. We live in SC and go very often. Enjoy your trip! 64 degrees today and sunny...COME ON DOWN!
