eastern us trip

We are looking to take a trip second week of July. We are in the Pittsburgh area and have a 14 month old. Any good suggestions to go to? Already doing Gatlinburg/pigeon forge in June and outer banks in August.

Like history? Gettysburg, Pa. It's the 150th Anniversary of the battle. Lots going on this summer.

Charleston, SC and Savannah, GA are great places to visit; lots of history with several good CG in each area. We spent a couple of days in each city last month and really enjoyed it.

If you like NASCAR, drop by Charlotte/Concord on your way to Charleston/Savannah. Campground with full hookups right west of the track about 1/4 mile. Hendricks shops are within a mile of the cg.

Since you'll be in the outer banks you could try Cherrystone on the Eastern Shore of VA. On the water with awesome sunsets. Just north of VA Beach.

If you look for campgrounds in Cape May Court House, NJ - the beaches are usually pretty quiet (as long as you stay away from Wildwood). Very family oriented in Avalon, NJ.
