Elkhart Eats

For folks visiting the Elkhart area for repairs and rallies, we hit a few places the last few days.

First, we hit Heinnies Back Barn:

Wife and I both got their steak sandwiches and my daughter got their New York strip. It was pretty yummy. I would go back.

Tonight we went to Flippin' Cow:

This was a great location overlooking a small lake. We had a couple of appetizers - beer battered onion rings (holy goodness; thick onion, thicker batter, good sauce) and pretzel sticks (soft and yummy). Daughter got a BLT, wife got a chicken sandwich, and I got their Hangover Burger. Good stuff all around and they had some local beer on tap. Strongly recommend.

When you get near St Louis, take the tribe to Crown Candy and get a shake. It may blow up your sugar and diet but very good stuff.
