First Landing State Park & NAS Oceana Airshow
We're thinking about going to First Landing State park in late September and taking the boys to the NAS Oceana Airshow. Has anyone been to that state park and/or the airshow?
Thanks.

Born and raised at Chesapeake Beach...beautiful area with the Chesapeake Bay! First Landing is dry camping...close to many attractions and the bay!
Oceana Air show is awesome and includes the Blue Angels!
Enjoy!

Thanks Seedomx. I think we'll add this to our list of trips this year.

I beg to differ. The trailer/motor home loops have electric and water hookups, but no sewer hook-ups at the site. here is a dump station near the entrance station.
We have stayed several times at 1st Landing, and hope to head back there this spring. We love it there !!

2x
You can't go wrong with either choice. I've been to FL multiple times and the air show once. You may want to also check out the Holiday Travel Park; great park with lots of full hookup sites and closer to Oceana. “Closer to Oceana” means close to the runways….can be very noisy and annoying. Plan on leaving for the air show early, the roads get jammed quickly. I plan on volunteering at the air show this year so maybe we will cross paths.

allards5...
If you do not mind a 40 mile drive there's a beautiful and quiet Campground in Suffolk called Davis Lakes!
This is where I stay on my many visits back up to Virginia Beach...
