First trip for nubee, sucessful

Just returned from 2000 mile round trip with the new Grey Wolf 21RR.
Great trip, incident free. Cant wait to go again

We started in south eastern WI. (home), first night in London KY, Then down to Winnsboro, SC for 3 nights, up to Gatlinburg, TN for 3 nights, last night just outside Cincinati, OH.

This was the set up in Gatlinburg,

Had a little stream running along side our site,

It was great

Wow, if you don't mind me asking, what campsite number was that and what RV park. My wife loves Water and that would be cool to have by campsite.

This was the place,
Gatlinburg Adventure Bound Camping Resorts | Smoky Mountains Campgrounds | Gatlinburg RV Parks

Our site# was 178. The manager of the place is a little bit of a "female dog", I had called and talked to her back in March when I booked and was required to pay in full for the site reservation for June 27, 28, and 29. Despite my preference of sites (based only on the site map) she put us in a site that was far better suited for a small pop up than my almost 27 foot overall trailer. I had to go back to the office and get them to nove me to the prefered site that I paid for 3 months in advance.

That said, the grounds are well kept, the rest of the staff is friendly and any of the sites that you can get in the 170's will have this stream running along side it

Best of luck

Glad to hear everything went well.

Just make sure your tire pressures are correct. Many people forget to check them before and during their long trips and the pressure drops which will cause the tires to heat up at highway speeds and destroy themselves. When this happens it always spoils the trip and maybe your trailers wheel wells.

Hey, that sounds like quite an adventure for your first time. Glad you had a great experience. Nice rig!

Where did you stay in Winnsboro? We live up in Fort Mill. I am guessing that it may have been Lake Wateree State Park. If so, we really like it for the nice spacious, paved sites.

We actually stayed at Carolina Adventure World. We had an event for a bunch of golf carts there.

Yep the cart goes right in the back, straps down, and off we go

I guess if I would have thought about it a little longer, I may not have committed to this trip. There was quite a bit of anxiety just before, and about the middle of the trip. Just cause I tend to worry.

Glad we did it, now we move on to more reasonable trips where I can actually relax more than drive.
