First trip of 2016- Alum Creek, Ohio

So happy to get the trailer on the road again! We spent last weekend at the beautiful Cross creek campground outside of Columbus, Ohio. Great private park close to shopping and across the road from Alum Creek State Park. We used this trip to see some friends and check out a large mall that is near by. NOTE: a new outlet mall will open later this year. So we made plans to come back late this fall! Very happy to report everything on the Windjammer worked well. The only thing we forgot was the fire starters for the campfire.

Glad to hear all went well and the park looks great. I am sure we will head there at some point this year.

Cross Creek Camping Resort is great in the summer. Lots of activities and very nice staff. We were on a waiting list for a seasonal spot there and we were notified last month we got in! We move our RV in this weekend! Cant wait! Glad you enjoyed the area!

Sorry we missed you by a couple of weekends. We could have helped you set up. We are coming back at the end of October. Our Windjammer has a FRF sticker in the window and we will be on site 102. Stop by and say hi.

We like Cross creek also. Our son lives near there so we camp and do some visiting. We also love Polaris and all the eateries and shopping. I did not know there was a outlet mall going in there. I wonder where it will go. There were some acres around there undeveloped. Only 100 million an acre LOL!

Thanks for sharing pics i used to fish that lake all the time and work down the road from it in sunbury just traded my harley in at the Ad farrows HD and bought my 07 there when they first opened that location. The new Outlet store is right behind the HD

Any of you familiar with Austin Landing area that is next to the Field and Stream store in Miamisburg ohio? I need to find a location or place to park the RV as we will be at an expo in the Hilton Gardens at Austin Landing first weekend of may

We are familiar with Austin Landing area. Good restaurants there and shopping. I don't think there is any place to park a rig there. Very busy shopping area, tight parking lots and still a lot of construction. Maybe call the Hilton and ask them. They are located in the back of the shopping area and might have room in their parking lot. You may want to find a quieter place to park and take a taxi our uber to the expo.

Thanks MCTroy, we can park in the lot at Hilton as that is the expo location however I'm not sure if that is the best place to stay for 3 days. That being said i did see that Millers Campground and Gun Club is only 9miles down the road a quick 15min drive each morning and evening.

Other option would be to park in the parking lot find some power and empty the tanks as needed which this would be the best option and close if i can find a power hook up.
