We stayed at Big Pine Key Fishing lodge over Easter and loved it.

We just stayed at Boyds campground in march, clean place, we liked it. I would say, getting a spot anywhere in the Keys this close to travel will be hard, places fill up fast. We tried for a long time to get into Bahia Honda state park, but could never get a spot, even 11 months before we left to go there! I don't know how people do it!

When we went in 2017 we stayed at John Pennecamp State Park then moved down to Boyds in Key West. Both places were no problem for our 36' fiver.

Look at the Jolly Roger, I just set up a week there for Thanksgiving week. I think it's $79 a night right now for interior spots. They allow 2 dogs. We haven't stayed there, so I can't say anything about it, but we're trying to stay at most of the RV places in the Keys to figure out which one we like best. They also give a 10% discount for Good Sam. We also have Key Largo Kampground booked for memorial week.

We were just there in January. We had luck finding places last minute, even day of, for 2 reasons, 1. we only wanted a few days, and 2. we were willing to pay for the premium sites. We had luck calling when the sites said they were full. Sometimes if you only want a night or 2 you can get lucky but the criteria on the site won't allow it, but the people on the phone can.
We stayed at Sunshine Key resort and Fiesta Key resort, which are both part of the same company. Personally, we were willing to pay to be on the water, we didn't much see the point of being in the middle of a parking lot, but it was expensive. Our site at Sunshine was better, because we were backed up right to the water, with lots of room, where on Fiesta, we were much more tightly packed in and the spots where we were were oddly staggered so every other spot was closer or farther from the water, this made no sense to us, as they could easily just make them all right up to the water. We enjoyed our time at Fiesta because it was on this little inlet and we saw a Manatee in the dock area, and there were lots of Pelicans. The pool was nice and the grill with the thatched roof was nice to have.
We did not stay at the Jolly Rodger but it did not appeal to us, it looked very tightly packed and was very close to the road. That being said, certain sites at Sunshine key will be able to hear road noise from the bridge with certain wind directions.
Boyds looks good but i think it is incredibly small compared to the others, from my memory.
My advice would be to carefully look at satellite maps of anywhere you consider staying, and figure out which site you can get if you are particular about having a view or space to breathe.

Jolly Roger RV Park near Marathon is very nice. We have stayed there several times. Boyd’s & Leo’s near Key West are nice too.

Jolly Roger is a good comprise if you can't get into one of the state parks IMO.

If you are an Elks member, there is an Elks club in Islamorada which has a dozen sites right on the water. Open only to Elks membership.

Been to Jolly Rodger two or three times and have liked it but that was before the hurricanes hit. From their website they are up and running and we are thinking about heading back there this year.

My daughter has been there since the hurricane and says it's better than before. They actually have a small beach there now. Before, water access was somewhat challenging.
