Florida: RV Parks Near Tavares.
Howdy,
The pardette and I will be camping (TH'ing) near Tavares, FL. This is near zipcode 32778. Any interesting RV parks?

There are several state parks near Tavares as in a 20 minute drive on US 441. Lake Griffin State Park is between Eustis and Lessburg. You could head east a Little bit near Apopka and stay at Wekiwa Springs State Park. I do not know of any private RV parks there. There is excellent camping in the Ocala National Forest and the cloest campground to Tavares in the Ocala would be Lake Dorr and then there is Clearwater Lake near Paisely, but this is a bit further north of Tavares, but the commute is easy down SR 19 and the back roads of Lake County.
