Florida State Park evacuated

We pulled into Anastasia State Park this afternoon and the ranger at the entry gate told us "got some bad news folks, we just started evacuating campers due to an upgraded warning from Hurricane Sandy". He handed us a list of private campgrounds in the area and said he had to go. We immediately called a few campgrounds and found a spot a few miles inland.

The puzzling thing is the National Weather Service still is showing just a tropical storm watch which had been in effect all day. The only thing we can think is that they are worried about tidal flooding.

Hoping they open Anastasia State Park tomorrow so we can enjoy our vacation here.
