That's downstream from the campground toward the float takeout spot. Maybe about halfway, which would be about an hour if you are floating. There is a sharp right turn, and the tree is on the left-hand side after you go through the turn.

There is also a platform that was just built next to the jumping tree, however I question the depth of the water under the platform. Be careful. I jump from the jumping tree every trip because the depth is wide.

Heading to Oscar Scherer SP in the morning(less than 10 miles away). This will be our 2 day shake down trip in the new 2014 Coachmen Apex 22qbs, will be testing out all systems for the longer trip planned this summer.

We frequent the Florida State Parks and Ocala National Forests. Our recreational priorities are swimming, kayaking and cycling (in that order). If you are okay with no hookups, Juniper Springs and Alexander Springs in the Ocala National Forest are fantastic. A bonus at the National Forests is that if you are over 62 you camp at a 50% discount: that means camping for $10.50 a day. At the Florida State Parks you must be over 65 and a Florida resident to get the discount.

I need to check on this SP to see why it never made our 3 year list. Hope you had a great time.

I have often stayed at county parks and fed parks around Fl. If you ignore them you will miss a great part of Fl.

I too love FL state parks, I got tired of so-called campgrounds that are Snowbird cookie cutter sites.

We love Fort De Soto, which is a Pinellas County park.

Here's Hillsborough River State Park this weekend. This park is only five miles from our house, as the crow flies. But takes us about 20 minutes to get there. It's a gorgeous campground, well shaded, large sites. We love the hiking trails - exciting enough to keep it interesting, but easy for the kids. We also kayak here, but did not this trip.
