Fort DeSoto

To all that have camped at Fort DeSoto in St. Pete. Fla., I would appreciate any info you may have. Been looking on line & it looks like a very nice CG. Seems to have everything we like. Just interested in any opinions, info, etc. Have a 31' WJ; which site would best accommodate this?

We went there in April. Walked around the campground to see which other sites would be suitable for our 3008W Windjammer. Attached is my list.

Great info. Was thinking about sites 205-225. Looks like you can launch your kayaks right at your site.

I go there once a year in May and stay in Area 2 which is pet friendly. We always make sure to get a spot on the water without a sea wall so that we can launch our kayaks right from the campsite. Some spots are difficult to back into with a long bumper pull due to narrow roads and trees on both sides. You can view pictures of all the sites on their website
