Frederick MD area. What's of interest?

Anybody have a favorite hangout to camp at or dine?

Cunningham Falls SP is a nice cg on US 15 @ Thurmont, just north of Frederick. Don't make a wrong turn or you'll be at Camp David!
There's also an all-you-can-eat place in Thurmont with good home cooking. Can't remember the name right now. CRS, don't you know.

As far as points of interest, there's a ton of Civil War stuff around there. The Monocacy Battlefield is cool and in downtown Frederick there is a museum dedicated to medical history during the war. You would be close enough for day trips to Gettysburg, Harpers Ferry, Antietem and Mannasas.

We stayed at Little Bennett Campground a few weeks ago. It was nice and quiet. From there we drive to the Metro station and went into DC.
