Free Camping @ Sycamore Lodge

I am currently camping for free at the Sycamore Lodge Resort in NC. Evidently RV Direct gave them my info that I purchased a new RV. It is a membership resort and I did the tour and sales pitch and when I said I was not buying, they were ok. Now I'm just enjoying the free camping. Nice place but I'd definitely never use it enough to justify the high cost of membership.

If you are a member of Coast to Coast (which we are), you can camp at Sycamore Lodge for $10 a night through Coast to Coast. I'd been wondering about this place, and it's on our short list of Coast to Coast resorts to visit in the future. How are the sites and pads? Large? Level? Concrete? Space between sites?

Kamper K:
sites: spacious 7 wooded, full hookup scarce, I only had water and electric.
lake is tiny, no swimming and very murky. catch & release fishing & paddle boats & canoes.
pool small and crowded but it is 4th of July, may not be typical.
pet friendly and kid friendly, nice dog area and playground and lots of activities for kids.
staff friendly and helpful
the bathroom that i used had individual rooms with toilet, sink & shower.
internet was slow during the day and better nights & mornings.
location is secluded...quite a drive to nearest major stores.

hope this was helpful
