Interesting thread. We camped at Artillery Ridge early June. That campground was....ehhhh, perty plain and unattractive.

I've since learned that Verizon service is far better than AT&T there.

BUT- be aware, if you're thinking of it as a base for touring Gettysburg that the name is misleading. It's a good 30-minutes from anything related to Gettysburg (town or battlefield).

We were in Gettysburg at Artillery Ridge Campground for July 4th weekend. If you were standing where our campsite was during the actual battle, you'd have to take cover.
