Going camping this weekend- NC

It's going to be a gorgeous 70* this weekend so we're heading to Cane Creek park (Waxhaw North Carolina) and got our favorite campsite #67 on the lake. Anyone else heading out to enjoy this beautiful weather??

Well it was a balmy 47 here in Patriots nation. Good day to go out and shovel the remainder of the last 2 snow storms off the sun seekers roof

We enjoyed the beautiful weather by hitting the raleigh RV show since our fiver is still in the shop. Hope y'all are having a great time camping.

Bad campground! FYI

I've been here at Highland Marina Campground in LaGrange, GA for three days attending the funeral of one of my Vietnam friends that I served with. This CG is not where you want to be, but the other three near here are still closed for the winter.
When I first checked in, I was given a "diagram" of the park that looks nothing like reality, just a block drawing. Had to have a park attendant lead me to my spot which was nowhere near the drawings directions.
They forgot to tell me I needed one of their converter boxes for the cable tv and the office closed before I figured out I needed one. One antenna channel and it is't on the top ten list unless you are Southern Baptist [nothing personal]
Sewer pipe was at the wrong end of the TT. Took three extensions to connect. My site is on an 8-10* tilt and the concrete patio is broken to pieces.
I'm not a happy camper, but it was all there was available open in this part of LaGrange, GA.
Great marina, lousy CG!

This weekend was a win! Made some friends who we'll hopefully be camping with in the upcoming months, and had one of the best sites in the park. Great memories were made.

And sunset looked like this...

We had a fantastic time

Oh I almost forgot the one bad thing... the park ranger backed my husband into the spot... and wham! Nobody realized the camper hit the electrical box. The ranger just said "oh thats ok, people hit that all the time."

Here is the mark...

Hubby wants to just use a sharpie or some black touch up paint. I am very surprised and a bit impressed at how well he handled the scratch mark. I was the unhappy one but I guess something was bound to happen one day or another.
