Good I-75 overnight location - between Dalton and Marietta, GA

Leaving Cincinnati for Sorrento, FL on Jan. 9 and about 8 hours driving would put us somewhere south of Dalton, probably closer to Kennesaw. Looking for a good RV friendly overnight spot between Dalton and Marietta. Don't really want to tackle Atlanta at the end of an 8 hour drive so an overnight north of Atlanta makes good sense.

Will be pulling our 40' Brookstone, average cruise speed about 62. Have a genset so power should not be a problem unless we find an easy off- easy on campground.

Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

The Atlanta Marrietta RV resort is pretty Nice, and close to the interstate. Plus, since it is off the 275 Loop, it will make getting from north to south ATL easier.

Not a lot to choose from in that range though. Chrisbailey may have the best suggestion.

There is a campground in Ringold, Ga. between Chattanooga and Dalton. It used to be a KOA but I think it is now called Battlefield Campground. It's right off I-75 at exit 350.

There is always Wal-Mart and possibly Cracker Barrel too if you don't want to foot the bill for an overnight stay in a campground.

I have no ideas where those locations are, but I did stay in Tifton, GA at the I-75 RV park when going from Orlando to Atlanta.

Last year we had a rally at Jim R Miller park in Marietta. It's a few miles off the interstate, but full hookups and only $15 a night. It's basic, but nice level sites.

Try Allatoona Landing and Marina Resort. We stopped there for a night on the way home. Very nice place and would stay there again. It is a nice stop for us because we could time our drive through Atlanta for times when traffic isn't so bad....if that is ever possible.

We stay in Hampton Inns going from STL to Disney. Hampton Inn at RINGGOLD is our second night. Third night is in a park close to Disney where we de-winterize. Leaving Jan 15 even though weather looks bad in FL.

speakin of apps. i like the AllStays Camp & RV. shows what's around and you can filter to your preferences.
That said, any military affiliation? There's the Navy Lake site on Lake Alatoona! and one at Dobbins AFB as well. Some of those sites a bit challenging to get into, but $14/night is cheap!
