We are leaving tomorrow for Gulf Shores, AL - camping at the state park. Any reviews, recommendations, or suggestions? We are going to stay overnight somewhere in the Birmingham area - any suggestions there?

We're currently at GSP and enjoying it. For our overnight, we used KV'S in Hartselle, AL. A small but good spot just a little North of Birmingham.
