Hall of Fame Trip

We are starting to plan our trip for next summer . We plan on leaving south Jersey next summer and head up to the Baseball Hall of fame then on to niagara Falls for a few days . Then down to the Rockin Roll HoF . Then down to Canton to the Football HoF . Then thru Pennsylvania and back to So. Jersey . My questions are has anyone been to the Halls and how many day should we plan on being at each one . And any suggestions on campgrounds and other points of interest in the areas . Thank in advance for any help !!!!!

I would have reservations because the RV parks do get full in upstate NY during the summer. I would plan on three days in Cooperstown but I am a big baseball fan. Please have a great trip.

There's a couple campgrounds near Cooperstown-a decent family one is the yogi bear jelly stone which is in Garratsville, Ny (about 15 mins from the Village). It's kid and pet friendly too.

The baseball hall could be a day trip. There's some good micro breweries popping up in the area as well-the most popular is Ommegang brewery.

A good bakery is Schneiders in Cooperstown and a good Bbq is Brooks which is in Oneonta(20 mins away from Cooperstown).

We went to Cooperstown for 2014 induction week. Great trip! It was our second time there, and it takes at least two days to fully tour the hall. We stayed at Shadow Brook--good campground. They also provide free shuttle service to events during HofF week (parking in Cooperstown this week is tough). The KOA, which we visited, also looked good. If going during induction week, recommend reservations no later than January. Have a great time!

Camp Ground Cooperstown NY

Check out this camp ground. It is family owned and is an excellent camping area. I highly recommend this location. Plan on staying in the area for a period of time. There are a lot of things to do in the area. A lake dinner cruise is also very enjoyable. Annie and her family will be happy to help you out with your visit. Enjoy; Frank

We stayed at the KOA just outside of Cooperstown great campground clean quite very friendly owner big plus is they have a heated pool. We spent a day at the hall of fame. My 11 year old is not a baseball fan and I'm even less, I have to say I could have spent 3 days there. A great place to visit. A great area lots to do and see. If not traveling with kids the beverage trail is a great time!

Swing out a little further west to Indianapolis and check out the NCAA Hall of Fame. It is really neat. If you're interested in campground info around Indy just let me know.

I suggest you google the Farmers Museum in Cooperstown. They have a re-created village circa 18th and 19th centuries that is very worthwhile walking through.

For the football HOF you will need to plan for about 4 to 7 hours depending on how I depth you wan to visit the history and teams. If u like football u will luv this place.
Camp grounds are not real close in Canton but I can recommend some I have been to and liked. Clearwater RV resort. Cutty's Sunset Resort, Countryside campground Magadore. These are about 10 miles from HOF. Near Hartville. Goodyear blimp hanger wing foot lake. Big Hartville country Amish kitchen and Flea market. Huge hardware store built by Amish. Lots to do. Enjoy.
