Harpers Ferry WV

I need campground recommendation near Harpers Ferry WV. I have family in Purcellville VA, Owings Mills MD, and want to head to DC. We'll be heading up to Gettysburg to finish up the trip and stay there for a few days.

Oh, I looked into the KOA in Harpers Ferry, but it was almost 500.00 for Friday-Wednesday.

A good spot for those locations would be Ramblin' Pines in Woodbine, MD:

Learn To RV: Ramblin’ Pines, Woodbine, MD

It's right on I-70 so going out to Harper's Ferry wouldn't be awful.

You can take I-70 to I-29 either down to Silver Spring or to I-95 to Greenbelt for DC.

Owings Mills is either all backroads or I-70 to I-695 to I-795.

And Gettysburg is easy- I-70 to Rt. 15.

Their pricing is a little wonky- $50 for 2 people and extra above that. I don't recall how many folks you have in your crew.

An alternative would be Patapsco Valley State Park. Same basic location, less price (but also less amenities).

All we're looking for is full hookup. Thanks.

Ramblin' Pines could work for ya.

Even the Capitol KOA in Millersville may work. Easier to DC but a bit further from Harpers Ferry.

I've also seen recommendations for Brunswick Family Campground. I've never stayed, but it would be decent for Harpers Ferry, but a longer drive into DC and Owings Mills.

I looked at Brunswick, but it's not full hookup. With 7 people for 5 days, holding tanks get full fast.

Sorry about that. I didn't realize that they weren't full hookups.

Ok, I go back to my Ramblin' Pines recommendation.
