Heading to Georgia, Looking for recommendations

The DW & I are heading to Ft Benning to see our oldest son graduate for Army Officer School the first week of April. We have a site revered at the CG on Benning. Just working out the logistics to and from. We're traveling from just east of Kansas City, Mo. So we're looking for suggestions for the following stops.

1. Plan to stop around the St. Louis area for the night (Fri).
2. Plan to stop in Nashville for two nights (Sat & Sun). Planning to stay a couple nights to enjoy some of the sights and nightlife. --Hear good things about Two Rivers CG?
3. Ft Benning, GA (Uchee Creek Campground) Site reversed (Mon-Fri)

Return Trip
1. Memphis, TN for one night (Friday night)
2. West Plains, MO one night (Saturday night)
3. Back home Sunday.

Any thoughts or suggestions or places to stay away from would be gratefully accepted!

Could be open to share a beverage with any fellow FROGs along the way.

From our experiance.....for an overnight stop in the St Louis area.....The KOA in Granite City, IL is an easy off easy on the interstate.
On the way home in the Memphis area...We really enjoyed Tom Sawyer Campground in West Memphis, Arkansas. Campsites right on the Mississippi River watching the tug boats and barges going up and down the river.
Congrats to your son for his service and have a great trip.

Thanks! Looking in to the KOA in Granite City and Tom Sawyer CG in West Memphis would be awesome.

Oldest is continuing the military family tradition. I'm retired Air Force. I'm sure my #2 son is not far behind once he finishes collage.

Sir.....if you are retired AF.....then consider Scott AFB FamCamp in Belleville, ILL. Just a few minutes south of I 64 east of Fairview Heights, IL.
I am retired Navy, and grew up in Belleville and have camped there many times.
Lots cheaper than the KOA also.

True about cheaper. I'm also considering Scott's Famcamp. We stayed there last year on our way to a family reunion in KY. We did have a minor issue with our reservation. We arrived a little late, replanned and someone was in our spot. No big deal we just found an other and pressed on.

I can't help with places to stay or eat. However, congratulations to you and your son for his accomplishments and thank you to your son for his service to our country.
