was wondering if anyone has stayed at the Hershey Highmeadow campground? We are trying to plan a mothers day weekend in that area and was told that this campground has a train that runs near the campground on a regular basis??? does anyone know if this is true?? is it noisy?? are there better places to stay?? any info from the Forest River family would be great!!!! thank you!
We stayed there last July 4th. The train that runs next to the campground is at one end of the camground. We have a 40' motor home and were on the other end of the campground and never heard the train. The campground is very convenient if you are going to go to the park as they have shuttles running back and forth between the park and the campground. The end of the park where we were was OK. Not too much grass around the sites and kind of crowded. They have a very nice pool area and had some activities during the weekend.

We have stayed there as well, the pull through site are a little tight, but it is a nice location. We camp in Hershey ever weekend, but we are members at Thousand Trails which is located 6 miles from the park on Rt 322.
