Highland Hammock State Park, Sebring, FL
I arrived here last Thursday. Weather had been pretty good. The campground is very clean as are shower houses and there is free Wi-fi, although on weekend, didn't work so well. Campground is in a mature tree area of both tall pines and live oaks.
My biggest complaint is the sites are literally right on top of one another except for maybe 5 or 6. I have neighbors about 6' on either side of me. It thinned out somewhat when the weekenders left though.
This is a great park for bicycling as well as hiking. There are numerous trails that only take 15 to 30 minutes to walk. Some consist of mostly boardwalk thru swampy areas. Location is pretty close to Sebring and they have about anything you could want in the way of supplies etc.
I'll be leaving here Friday for a week at Kissimmee Prairie Preserve.
