Ditto. Traffic thins out quite a bit after Fredericksburg,VA and by the time you get to Petersburg,VA it's quite a comfortable drive. If you want to avoid traffic around Richmond (depending on what time you hit that area) you can always take 295 around the city and get back on south of the city. We drive it all the time. North of Fredericksburg = miserable. South of Fredericksburg = just fine! Hope that helps.

Nice big truck stop in Kenly, NC that is easy to navigate with plenty of pull through spaces. Check out the AllStays RV App and zoom in in Satellite mode. You will be able to check out the all of the stops and find what works best for you. Have fun on your trip!
