I79/US19 Corridor in West Virginia during February?

Planning our travels to Florida this upcoming February and based on a first pass at our itinerary, it looks like we can make it to somewhere just north of Beckley, WV on our first day.

We'll be traveling with dogs, so hotel rooms might be impractical.

Is there a tried and true place to overnight in our RV along the I79/US19 corridor in West Virginia?

(Or should we plan on an overnight at Walmart?)

There are nice places north of there towards Seneca Rocks but that route should be planned carefully during the winter months. My wife and I were just camping out there... Lots of steep mountains 9-10% grades. Lots of snow there in the winter even when not elsewhere.

Best of luck on your trip!

There is a campground at Fayetteville, wv on rt19. Try Rifrafters Campground: Camping near New River Gorge Bridge and Fayetteville, West Virginia (WV) for info. Place is called Rifrafters campground. This area is before entering Beckley.
Another camping area that has an open cg is Camp Creek 20 miles south of Beckley on I-77s. Check. Home Page - WV State Parks and Forest. Pick find a park then Pick camp creek from the map to get information. Hope this will help you.

I was just looking at places to stop off this w/e on way to S. Carolina and picked deer Trail Park Campground near there. Ends up staying a little north due to weather this w/e. I don't know if they're open in February.
Gets great reviews on Google and Trip Advisor.
Deer Trail Park and Campground, Wytheville, VA.
